The Oregon Healthcare Leaders Association Mentorship Program is “Live”!
Are you looking for someone who can guide you on unfamiliar topics? Are you looking for an opportunity to help a new(ish) leader grow in their role? Have we got opportunities for you!
As we discussed during our member meeting during the PNW Medical Management Conference in May, Oregon Healthcare Leaders Association is starting a mentorship program. Any current member is eligible to be part of this new program. We’ve specifically left most of the program details open to allow each team (mentor and mentee) to create something most helpful to them. Oregon HLA will periodically ask for feedback to see if there are common suggestions to help grow the program
MENTEE: Anyone who wants guidance with a specific part of their job in healthcare management – regardless of their level of experience. We can’t all be experts in everything so don’t be afraid to ask for assistance! Just click on this link and fill out a brief form letting us know what you’d like to help with and we’ll connect you with someone to work with. It’s up to the two of you to decide how often to meet and what tasks to discuss though we recommend at least once per month (or more frequently) to start with. It can be a small, simple question or something more involved – it’s up to you.
MENTOR: Anyone who’d like to provide guidance to another healthcare manager with at least one subject they’d like to work on with you. You don’t have to be an expert in everything – but let us know what topics you are comfortable providing guidance in.It’s up to the two of you to decide how often to meet and what tasks to discuss though we recommend at least once per month (or more frequently) to start with.
